The Mountain and the Trees (Jon Janes) is coming to the Old Town Hall on April 24th @ 7:30 p.m. Admission is by donation (suggested amount is $10.00). We will be supplying fairtrade coffee for the event and people are encouraged to bring desserts to the show.
The Mountains and the Trees is/are a Canadian folk rock 
band whose sole constant member is Jon Janes of Pasadena, Newfoundland and Labrador. Currently residing in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Janes’ musical style has been compared to that of Iron & Wine and Julie Doiron. Rachel Sanders of Exclaim! wrote, “[Janes’] thoroughly modern folk style combines traditional instrumentation with subtle but perfectly integrated effects.” (ref: Wikipedia)
